Deeds of Sale
Formal contracts by which a seller agrees to sell and a buyer agrees to buy immovable property, under certain terms and conditions set out in writing in the document and signed by both parties.
Residential Property Transfers
The process whereby the right of ownership of immovable property is transferred from one person to another.
Deceased Estate Property Transfers
The process whereby the immovable property of a deceased person is transferred to another person.
Insolvent Estate Property Transfers
The process whereby the immovable property of an insolvent individual (an individual of diminished capacity) is transferred to another person.
General and Special Powers of Attorney
Special powers of attorney allow an agent to do one act only, i.e. to sell and transfer a specific immovable property. General powers of attorney afford the agent with a collection of special powers of attorney which is set out in a single document.
Antenuptual Agreements
A written contract between two people who are about to marry, setting out the terms of possession of assets, treatment of future earnings and potential division if the marriage is later dissolved either by way of divorce or death.

M van Niekerk Attorneys is based in Garsfontein, Pretoria East and was established by Melanie van Niekerk during 2014.
Melanie entered the conveyancing industry in 2005 as a conveyancing secretary during which time she gained a wealth of practical experience. At the same time she studied towards her LLB degree through UNISA and was admitted as an attorney in 2011.
Melanie is experienced in amongst others, property transfers, bond registrations, bond cancellations, deceased estate transfers, as well as insolvent estate transfers and antenuptual agreements.
M van Niekerk Attorneys is focused on their clients’ needs and aim to deliver effective service of the highest quality. This service includes regular and detailed reporting to the buyer and seller, as well as the estate agent.
